Day 103
Just over 200 miles from Antigua and I've been sitting on the para anchor for 2 days drifting backwards. Frustration to a new level! Even though I have not been progressing I've been trying to have productive days by doing jobs on the boat. For instance today I could not row but I did wash some cloths, clean the cabin out and scrubbed the bottom of the boat. Although it was a little rough to clean the bottom properly. I find doing tasks on the boat helps me stay motivated when not progressing. I guess I just like to feel I've done something instead of nothing.
The forecast suggests some good weather from Sunday for 3 days so if I can cover another 100 miles I'll be very happy.
Rowing the Atlantic has obviously isolated me from any news and general info on what's going on in the world quite a bit. However today I was informed all flights in and out of Europe have been grounded due to a volcano erupting over Iceland that has thrown ash high into the jet streams. Wow that must be causing chaos for a lot of people.
Thanks for all the txt messages of support that I've received recently. Please don't forget to sponsor me if you haven't all ready. It will be greatly appreciated. www.justgivving.com/jamesketchell

Morning buds, domestics up to scratch, now you can do some serious rowing. Your journey should be nearing its end this week. What a pleasure. Excellent effort and humungous amount of bravery, strength & courage from you and Sean. I wouldve shot the sheriff long ago and dunked him if that was me out there for more than 3 days. Just spoke to Pete van Kets now & he is at a beautiful beach resort about 4 hrs from East London, where his wife Kim & him are writing a book about his journey. He has had a lot of media houses approach him for His Story. Will be interesting to read. Each one of your journeys will have its own uniqueness I should imagine. Go safe this week & push until something happens. (Like Land ahoy) xxxx Tess (Nymazela land)
