Day 69
Today has been a good day. 32 miles in 12 hours. If only it was like that everyday! I guess it would be to easy then. It's now got to the point when moving around the deck of Speedo I need to move pretty quickly. If I stand in one place for more than a few seconds the bottom of my feet get burnt. Yes it's still pretty hot out here.
Rations that I could not stomach as I thought they were disgusting at the beginning of the trip are now starting to taste a lot better. To past the time recently I've started playing a game whilst rowing. It's called "guess the time" obviously without looking at my watch. My rowing sessions vary from 2.5 hours to 4 hours. The idea of the game is to guess when the session is up. I can now predict an hour of time literally to the minute. It’s just a way of not looking at the watch and realizing I've only done an hour when it felt like two.
Day 70 tomorrow. It actually feels quite strange thinking back to the start in January. I've rowed nearly 2000 miles in that time. Hopefully I've only got around another 30 days to go. However anything can happen out here so I just take it one day at a time.
