Boat Show review and January Fun
Well since the last blog, I have to say I've been rather busy. The London Boat Show was absolutely fantastic. I was privileged to meet so many friendly people who appeared to be in awe of my undertaking. I felt slightly humbled as I haven't actually done it yet. The set up of the show worked really well with the positing of the boat. I had a fantastic spot, right next to a friend of mine, Tom Mcnally. Tom holds the world record for crossing the Atlantic in the smallest boat at just over 3 feet. It really is no bigger than a bath tub. Quite amazing, I felt quite privileged to be exhibiting my boat next to him. Whilst at the show I was also fortunate enough to pick up a couple of sponsorship deals as well. Also I had another five minutes of fame as I was interviewed by a few local radio stations.
As January is almost over I've realized time really is flying. I'm attending a sea survival course this Sunday and next Saturday which I'm looking forward to.
I thought my training may have fallen by the wayside while at the London Boat show but I'm pleased to say I've managed to keep training going strong. I'm generally up to doing two hours sessions on the rower now with no great difficulty at all.
Slowly but surely I'm ticking things off my to do list.
