The London International Boat Show is on and I get a celebrity endorsement
Most of December has been quite a slow month for the progress of Atlantic Adventurer. However the last week has been fantastic and has really set 2009 off with a bang. On the 29th of December I received a call to say I was able to exhibit my boat at the London International Boat Show in January, from the 9th -18th. This was fantastic news as I had tried to get into the show a few months ago and was turned away. Fortunately a friend of a friend pulled a few strings for me. I thought to myself it really is a case of who you know, not what you know!! This is the largest and most prestigious boat show in the UK so will be a fantastic opportunity to get the message of the campaign and the charity into the public eye. More info can be found on the show here http://www.londonboatshow.com it would be great to see a few familiar faces if anyone can make it down.
On the 30th December things just kept getting better when I received this email from someone, who I would say is certainly well known amongst the more sporting of us.
'I would like to wish James Ketchell all the very best for his incredible solo adventure rowing across the Atlantic. It must be one of the most challenging and demanding ambitions but I have enormous confidence that he will achieve his goal. James' choice of charity, The NSPCC, is a wonderful cause and I cannot think of a better, more motivating force for keeping him going during the toughest of times along the journey.'
